installation guide

look, i did not pay the $99 to register as a developer, so this is the workaround:

1. open the DMG and double-click Install duolarp
2. approve it once. macOS blocks it the first time, so please go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.

   I GET that it says "can't check for malware", but the only way for me to remove that is to pay the $99/year, which I am NOT going to do.

3. click Install. duolarp goes into Applications and starts in the menu bar, and its welcome asks for Screen Recording perms. this is to actually do the animation.
4. the moment you are bored just run "uninstall duolarp" in spotlight to delete the whole app 😭

• it uses screen recording ONLY while the lid is moving to draw the effect. nothing is EVER saved.
• does not use the internet nor does it ask for any password.
• super lightweight and "sleeps" between sensor readings, only awakening the GPU when the lid moves.
• at any time if you want to move on from duolarp, simply run the "Uninstall Duolarp" that comes with the installation to delete it.
